Ms  FORREST question  to LEADER of the GOVERNMENT in the LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, Mrs HISCUTT

With regard to the section of Waratah Road from the junction with the Murchison Highway into Waratah and further heading toward Savage River:

a) If so, what is the timeframe for these repairs?

ANSWER:

1. The Government is aware of the condition of Waratah Road.  Waratah Road is inspected weekly, with the latest inspection occurring on 25 October 2019.

2. During these inspections localised road defects are identified and programmed for repair to ensure the safety of the travelling public until long term repairs can be undertaken.

Significant road works are planned to commence in December 2019, with follow up road resurfacing works due to commence during February 2020.
