Mr President, I thank the member for the question. I shall give the Leader, in her last week here in the House, a bit of a spell from answering a question for a moment.

(1) I am very pleased to announce that respected local firm Burbury Consulting has been engaged to conduct the study.

(a) analysis of infrastructure and non infrastructure improvements and options;

(b) a multicriteria analysis of the proposed improvements;

(c) preliminary costings of the proposed improvements;

(d) a threshold for consideration for a larger port expansion;

(e) the value of shipping to the local economy;

(f) impacts, constraints and limitations of the broader supply chain, including shipping services;

(g) opportunities for improved levels of service and possible implementation ;

(h) recommendations for further assessment or investigations to be undertaken.

(3) The report is due to us on 30 May 2025.
