Ms FORREST question to LEADER of the GOVERNMENT in the LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, Dr GOODWIN

Mr President, this is supplementary to a question I asked yesterday regarding the work the Tasmanian Premier has committed to through the Council of Australian Governments - COAG - process with the Victorian Premier to address the reform of health services.

In a third question I asked who would be leading and coordinating that work.  I have received an answer saying that lots of people have been involved.  My suggestion was that someone be appointed to lead this body of work.  Who will lead this body of work rather than have a broadbrush approach with the departments involved?

Mr President, I thank the honourable member for Murchison for her question.  The Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet is leading the work jointly with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, supported by the Deputy Secretary of Treasury.
