Ms FORREST question to LEADER of the GOVERNMENT in the LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, Mrs HISCUTT

Regarding funding to Rural Health Tasmania (RHT):

1 What is the total amount of funding provided to RHT

2 What is the breakdown of this funding by:

2.1 State funding

2.2 Federal funding

3 For each of the above funding amounts:

3.1 Please provide a breakdown for each area of service delivery/care provided separately including mental health

4 How are the outcomes from each area of service delivery monitored and reported?

Answers:

The State Government provided Rural Health Tasmania $2 400 in 2020 as part of the Healthy Tasmania Neighbour Day Challenge. I understand the Federal Government also provide Rural Health Tasmania funding to undertake a range of programs.

Any questions on federal funding should be directed to the Commonwealth or Rural Health Tasmania.

The Healthy Tasmania initiative aimed to help create social connections and address loneliness in Tasmanian communities.

All recipients under this initiative were required to report how the funds were spent based on their original proposal.
