Ms  FORREST question  to LEADER of the GOVERNMENT in the LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, Mrs HISCUTT

With regard to the safety audit which State Growth have agreed to undertake, in consultation with Circular Head Council, so that children may alight from a passing school bus to access after school care at Giggles Early Learning Service in Smithton; 

1. When is the safety audit expected to be completed? 

ANSWER: 

State Growth is currently seeking to engage an independent consultant to undertake a safety assessment of the bus stop at 21-23 Smith Street as soon as possible. 

A proposal, including advice of fees and project timing are yet to be received. Once the engagement is able to be confirmed and delivery timing agreed, State Growth will be in a position to advise on an expected date of completion.
